The Elac CC 201.2 is the audiophile-grade center channel speaker you would surely be glad to own and enjoy with both your movies and music. Especially over the past few years, audio producers have found new development methods for creating more enthralling acoustic effects based on multi-channel systems. These new effects are not only demanding the proper multi-channel gear but a very high quality of such equipment, in case someone wants to hear ?the real thing?.



From center positioning the dialog in movies to intricate and very complicated panning effects using the center channel, the contemporary audio has changed a lot and it now demands serious gear.



The Elac CC 201.2 is the audiophile gear for the discerning listener. It sports a ribbon tweeter, Elac's JET III unit, which is capable of delivering a mind-boggling response up to 50kHz! Adding the almost perfect linearity and the absence of distortion and sound coloration, the Elac CC 201.2 seems to be the ultimate center channel loudspeaker.



The Elac CC 201.2 also sports two proprietary 115mm aluminium sandwich woofers that will deliver a very hi-quality bass response despite their diminutive size: 38Hz is far more than enough for a center channel ? especially when the LF response is aided by a separate hi-quality subwoofer, the Elac CC 201.2 will make itself more present.



The drivers inside the Elac CC 201.2 are all magnetically shielded, so placing them in the vicinity of a sensitive video piece of equipment will be completely safe and will not result in visual distortions. This is especially handy as we're speaking about a center channel loudspeaker whose place is usually on or under the television/monitor.



The Elac CC 201.2 sports 90dB sensitivity and 4 Ohms impedance and will be able to drive up to 110W continuous power. Comes in cherry veneer, matte black and silver or titanium shadow finishes, the Elac CC 201.2 sells in Europe for about $650.
